We are continuing our final testing, and our current target of resolution by the end of the day remains unchanged. We are working to expedite this and are aiming to restore services this afternoon, although this cannot yet be guaranteed.

We are working to expedite this and are aiming to achieve resolution this afternoon, although we cannot confirm this at this stage. We will continue to make every effort to resolve the issue as soon as possible and provide further updates as appropriate. A further update will be provided by 12:30.
Update - 21/10/2026 18:00
To ensure the safety of customer data, we are carefully assessing the patch and ensuring this would successfully mitigate the security vulnerabilities identified. We anticipate the maintenance block to be in place throughout Thursday 22nd October with a current aim to lift this by close of play on this date. In the interim, we would advise enacting business continuity plans for Orchid Live downtime. A further update will be provided at 09:00 tomorrow (22/10/2026).
Critical Security Vulnerabilities - Immediate System Downtime - 21/10/2026 15:00
On 20th October, critical security vulnerabilities affecting PHP were flagged by CERT-EU. PHP is widely used to power websites and applications worldwide, including Orchid Live, so this is a significant industry-wide security concern.
The detail regarding these vulnerabilities was made publicly available at 15:00 on Wednesday 21st October, allowing us to assess the impact on Orchid Live.

As information about these vulnerabilities and the available fixes continues to emerge, we are monitoring developments closely and responding as quickly as possible to apply the necessary security patches to Orchid Live.
Given the nature of the vulnerabilities, we need to carry out essential maintenance to ensure our systems remain secure. This will require a maintenance window during which Orchid Live will be unavailable.
We appreciate that this is highly disruptive, but security is our priority and we are acting as quickly as possible as further information and updates become available.
